Setting Up My First Art Installation

Here is the setting up of my first art installation. I had lots of help from my friends to set it up. There is a built sand box with toys and a hop-scotch made up of ceramic tiles. Each of the tiles has some sort of childhood story or nursery rhyme on it. There are also casted butterflies and origami cranes hanging from the bar-roof. The best part is that people came up and started "playing" with my installation. Success!

The start of the set-up... Hanging up the cast butterflies

The sandbox with the hop-scotch tiles. Now all it needs is toys

The butterflies are all up!

Time for the cranes

The finished product. Isn't it awesome?!?

Making my First Art Installation Pieces

This is the making of my first art installation. These are screen printed and painted flat tiles that will be used in my piece.

Mixed Media Mirror

This is a mixed media piece that I made with ceramics, screen printing, and a mirror. The cute little girl is my niece.

Platters from Spring 2010 Semester

Here are a bunch of platters that I made this last semester!!!

This platter is made so that the inner dish can be interchangeable. The three dishes that can be used are shown. This is a great piece for chips, dips, and vegetable trays.

This platter continues with the dragon fly theme from the dragon fly vase. The dragon flies are screen printed.

Here is a platter with a permanently attached dish.

Dragon Fly Vase

Here is a fun vase that I made. The designs are screen printed.

Here was my vase as it was displayed in the Art Department display case
