Custom Glaze

Here is a piece that is using a glaze that I made. Notice the texture in the glaze.



Making Southern Utah Clay

As part of my glaze calculation class at the University of Utah, I have had to make my own clay. It takes FOREVER. Here are three types of raw clay that I was able to get from Souther Utah thanks to my good friend Kreg and his boys. The only casualty in this excursion was the paint job of Kreg's Suburban and possible its frame (there were some major twists and bends on that trip). The yellow clay fired to cone 10 and the other one fired to cone 6.
